I need a new strategy to organise my information.

A friend once opted to use EverNote instead of an Open Source tool and at the time I was too blind to see why: it was just infinitely better.

I can't find anything like what I want.  I want to organise things simultaneously by

• subject
• task
• date

I sort of do this at work with TiddlyWiki.  I don't think I want to use TiddlyWiki for home, though.

I want to store my projects, like the new SDK iaido poster, learning how to knit, my cooking experiences, etc.  I want to keep notes on interesting subjects like botany, rope tying (it's a part of my sword school!), and stories I write.  I want to following notes over time.

I think I'm going to write my own.  I think I need to resume programming as a larger part of my life.
